Field Beans Variety OBRAZTSOV CHIFLIK 12

The variety is semi-climbing with erected, tidy bush without lodging. The height of the plants is averagely 48,3 cm, 52,4 - of the standard Dobrudzhanski 7. The average height of the first formation of pods is 9,9 cm. It does not form pods on stem tendrils. The seeds are semi-flat type, the mass of 1000 seeds – averagely 311 g. The flowering comes 5 days earlier than in Dobrudzhanski 7 and Dobrudzhanski 2, and it ripens 3-5 days earlier. The plants ripen at one and the same time and have good resistance to crumbling. It is a high yielding variety. Average for four years under the conditions of the IASS "Obraztsov chiflik" the yield was 174 kg/da, and it exceeded the control by 12,2%. Within the system of the State Variety Commission in 1998 and 1999, the exceeding was by 7,9% compared to Dobrudzhanski 7, and 17,2% compared to Dobrudzhanski 2. The maximum yield obtained at the IASS "Obraztsov chiflik" was 287 kg/da, and at the State Variety Commission – 273 kg/da.

The variety is with good boiling time and excellent gustatory qual.

The height of the plants is averagely 50,2 cm, 52,4 - of the standard Dobrudzhanski 7. The average height of the first formation of pods is 10,7 cm. It does not form pods on stem tendrils. The seeds are semi-flat type, the mass of 1000 seeds – averagely 331 g. The flowering comes 5 days earlier than in Dobrudzhanski 7 and Dobrudzhanski 2, and it ripens 2-4 days earlier. It ripens at one and the same time and has a good resistance to crumbling. It is a high yielding variety. Average for four years under the conditions of the IASS "Obraztsov chiflik" the yield was 165 kg/da, and it exceeded the control by 6,5%. Within the system of the State Variety Commission in 1998 and 1999, the exceeding was by 8,0% compared to Dobrudzhanski 7, and 17,2% compared to Dobrudzhanski 2. The maximum yield obtained at the IASS "Obraztsov chiflik" was 301 kg/da, and at the State Variety Commission – 258 kg/da.

The variety is with good boiling time and excellent gustatory qualities.

Field Beans Variety PLOVDIV 10

The field beans variety Plovdiv 10 was created after the method of the inter variety sexual hybridization at the High Agricultural Institute Plovdiv and the IASS "Obraztsov chiflik" – Rousse. It was recognized by the State Variety Commission in 1997.

Plovdiv 10 variety has a semi-climbing bush, creeping type and it is not appropriate for a direct mechanized harvesting. The height of the plants is between 50 and 70 cm, and the height of the lowest pod – 11,8. The average number of the pods per a plant is about 15, and the average number of the seeds in a pod is about 3-3,5. The seeds are white with smooth surface of semi-flat type. The mass of 1000 seeds is 320 g, as regarding this index the variety belongs to the semi-large grain varieties. The variety ripens 5-6 days earlier than Dobrudzhanski 7, which gives the opportunity to be ahead of the extremely high temperatures during the flowering and pod formation and gives higher yield.

The variety is comparatively resistant to bacterioza, the disease of the greatest economical importance. The technological qualities of the variety are very good. Its boiling time is 185 min., percentage of the seed cover – 7,34, coefficient of water absorption - 2,56 and gustatory qualities on the 6 scale system – 5,00. Its seeds contain 28,28% crude protein. The average yield at the IASS "Obraztsov chiflik" – Rousse is between 97 and 280 kg/da, depending on the climatic conditions in years and exceeds the standard Dobrudzhanski 7 averagely by 9,8%. Regarding the agro technical requirements the variety does not differ from the adopted agrotechnics in beans.
