Trifon's Day 2015
On 14.02.2015, in IASS "Obraztsov chiflik" – Rousse, the Day of the vine grower - Trifon's Day was celebrated. It was honored by Mrs. Daniela Vezieva - Deputy Minister of Economics, Mr. Stanimir Stanchev - Deputy District Governor of Rousse, farmers.
At the ritual trimming of the vineyard Assoc. Prof. Galina Dyakova – the Acting Director of the Institute congratulated the staff and wished successful year and a good harvest.
As a result of the intensive breeding work, a number of dessert cultivars and candidate varieties, adapted to continental climate of Bulgaria were created at IASS “Obraztsov chiflik”- Velika, Ryahovo, Prista, Misket Rusenski, Rusensko bez seme, Siana, the new seedless Zornitca and Tangra, etc. Currently EAVTASC is testing two candidate wine varieties.
