Under the conditions of the Institute “Obraztsov chiflik” – Rousse, the average yield obtained was 640 kg/da. Its coefficient of draught resistance is high (K = 0,81). The content of crude protein in the grain is 15,3%, the mass of 1000 grains – 34 g. The grain is coarse, colored in golden yellow. It was recognized by the State Agency for Variety Maintenance Seed Testing and Seed Control in 2007.

Because of the high content of protein, soluble plant fibres and amino acids in the grain and its good chemi-technological qualities, Alexi variety possesses abilities for various using as for forage, so in the food processing industry – for the production of oat flakes and dietetic foods.
